The Road To The Great Escape 2026
There’s something special about a few days of live music in an intimate venue, and that’s exactly what The Road To The Great Escape at King Tut's Wah Wah Hut promises to deliver. Known for its rich history of spotlighting breakthrough talent, King Tut’s will provide the perfect backdrop for a three-day lineup that blends emerging voices with acts that are already building a name for themselves. Across the weekend, audiences will have the chance to experience a wide spectrum of sound in one of Glasgow’s most iconic spaces.
On Friday 8th May, The Rooks bring a taste of the modern Glasgow music scene, while Fright Years and Fool Nelson bring indie rock anthems to the opening night.
The lineup on Saturday 9th May perfectly showcases the diversity running through the bill, from the genre-blurring Tanzana to the punchy rock presence of Cowboy Hunters and the offbeat charm of Little Grandad. The second day is rounded out by two exciting artists you do not want to miss while they’re in town - THEATRE and Clothesline From Hell.
Sunday 10th May contrasts the punchiness of Saturday with the thoughtful songwriting of Pat Hamilton and Elle Coves. Meanwhile, DIRTY BLOND, Brodie Barclay, Quiet Man and Heidi Curtis complete the lineup, each with their own distinct musical identities ready to become your new favourite acts that you’ll follow to much bigger venues in future.
Together, the lineup across all three days offers an array of monumental music experiences and will be absolutely full of ‘I’m so glad I go to see them before they got big’ moments.
