Part-time rockstar, full-time legend Pete Wylie is coming to King Tut’s in January!

The man behind The Mighty Wah! is announcing three live shows for three good reasons...

1.The launch on all platforms of his LP "Pete Sounds!",his first this century. It's been described as a masterpiece, and he says "I wanted to make the last great LP!"...

2.The anniversary of 'The Story Of The Blues' charting in January 1983, and the start of the second phase of the WAH! story.

3.The 40th anniversary of the birth of WAH! Heat..., and the start of a packed year of celebrations...

Known for his work with ‘Wah!’ and it’s variations, the Liverpudlian frontman has been recognised for his wit and strong opinions. Judging from his last show back in 2016, Wylie’s Glaswegian fans have more than shown their loyalty and admiration for him. Never letting the show get too serious, Pete Wylie remains ever the comedian throughout - ensuring the crowd never hits a low point.

Returning to Tut’s for the first time since his show back in 2014, with a new album under his belt. “Pete Sounds!” (a play on the iconic Beach Boy album), his first album in 17 years made to fit a bar room. The album was crowdfunded and despite taking a while to be finalised (over 13 years to be exact) - fans called it one of the best albums of 2017. Even Wylie admitted at a show that he feels his newer songs are some of the best he’s ever written.

The start of 2019 looks exciting for Wylie with a UK tour for the album and a stop by King Tut’s Wah Wah Hut. With the show gearing up to be something you don’t want to miss, get your tickets now.
